Role Responsibilities

The MERIT (Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment) program provides court diversion opportunities for defendants with drug and alcohol problems. As a MERIT Case Manager, you will:

• Engage with individuals facing court with a history of drug use.
• Provide assessment, case management, support, counselling, and treatment to defendants with substance issues.

Selection Criteria

• Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with relevant Australian Health Practitioners.
• Demonstrated knowledge of holistic treatment approaches in the alcohol and drugs field.
• Experience in case management and treatment for problematic drug use.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s license.

Additional Information
