Role Responsibilities
The MERIT (Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment) program provides court diversion opportunities for defendants with drug and alcohol problems. As a MERIT Case Manager, you will:
- Engage with individuals facing court with a history of drug use.
- Provide assessment, case management, support, counselling, and treatment to defendants with substance issues.
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with relevant Australian Health Practitioners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of holistic treatment approaches in the alcohol and drugs field.
- Experience in case management and treatment for problematic drug use.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s license.
