Job Title: Project Manager Location: Darwin Role type: Permanent Position Industry: Civil/Construction & Marine Infrastructure Company Summary A leading Australian marine contractor with over 35 years of operational excellence, delivering a diverse range of services across marine infrastructure and asset maintenance. Capabilities include bridge and wharf construction, piling, sheet piling, and crane barge hire, with operations extending nationwide. The construction division commenced operations in November 2019 following the acquisition of key assets from a well-established marine construction business. Several experienced personnel also transitioned across, resulting in the continuation of a strong culture and legacy built on decades of delivering marine infrastructure projects along the NSW coastline. The client portfolio reflects a consistent track record of professionalism and quality, working with government agencies, tier-1 contractors, local councils, private businesses, and homeowners. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex construction projects across marine, oil & gas, and over-water infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in multi-disciplinary construction, along with exposure to and a passion in marine-related projects You will be responsible for end-end management of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The position plays a key role within the management team, contributing to and influencing the growth of the business in Darwin. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of construction projects across marine and wider construction projects.
- Oversee multidisciplinary works including, but not limited to:
- Structural Concrete/Steel fabrication/installation
- Excavation and demolition
- Hot Works, Piling & Crane Barges
- Remediation and maintenance works
- Over-water bridges
- Rocks & Pipelines
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure smooth project execution.
- Contribute to pricing, estimating, and tender submissions by supporting bid development and providing technical input into construction methodologies.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, subcontractor coordination, procurement support, and commercial delivery to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
About You
- Proven Project Management experience in multi-disciplinary civil/construction, ideally remedial maintenance projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects from planning through to completion
- Exposure to construction methodologies, procurement processes, and tender/bid development, including pricing activities.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in complex environments
