  • Develop the platform vision and strategy for AER’s existing and emerging platform services, including translating digital transformation priorities into platform changes, new developments and improvements that support business outcomes.
  • Act as the principle subject matter expert for the EDP and UDP platforms and guide the development and delivery of enhancements and functional extensions of those platforms in alignment with platform strategy and agency objectives.
  • Lead and guide the Platform Owners to collectively collaborate with the AER Enterprise Architect and other stakeholders to define the roadmap, initiatives, and schedule for our Digital Transformation program.
  • Co-ordinate delivery of platform-related project outcomes, integrated outputs, and services within approved project scopes and budgets.
  • Work with the CIO and Enterprise Architect providing specialist advice to collaboratively resolve issues relating to scope, resourcing, and design issues for our Digital Transformation program.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of integrated platform services in accordance with approved budgets.
  • Ensure platform stability, scalability, security, affordability, currency, and performance.
  • Manage the performance of Platform Owners, foster cross-team collaboration, and develop talent and capability.

About You In order to succeed in the role, you will have:

  • An understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire an understanding of, the Australian energy markets and the role, purpose and objectives of the AER.
  • A deep understanding of technology, cloud, SaaS, or relevant platform domains.
  • A proven ability to manage complex projects.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing and delivering complex cloud data warehouse and analytics services.
  • A baseline security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline is also highly desirable.
