We are seeking a Senior Billing Analyst to join our team and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing. Senior Billing Analyst Work for a leader in telehealth during an exciting time of growth and change Access Telehealth is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for a Senior Billing Analyst to join our Access Aged Care division. This role is pivotal in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our billing operations while using data analysis to uncover insights and influence business decisions. You’ll play a key role in connecting billing accuracy with strategic outcomes, supporting doctors, leadership, and finance teams to deliver smarter, data-driven healthcare for aged care residents across Australia. What you’ll do
- Manage billing for aged care resident medical consults
- Ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and industry standards
- Track and manage outstanding consults, liaising with GPs and Specialists
- Investigate and resolve customer billing queries
- Maintain accurate billing documentation and records
- Audit data for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
- Provide proactive insights from billing and operational data to inform decisions across Finance, Practice Management, and Executive teams
- Communicate regularly with external stakeholders, including providing weekly Billing Files
- Lead or support process redesign and improvement projects as the business scales
- Work closely with your manager to audit processes, analyse key databases, and optimise operations
- Take on additional billing, reporting, and data management tasks as backup for team members (billing files, direct debits, RSS management)
- Produce key reports:
- Daily: Adhoc reports for billing or audit purposes
- Weekly: Database updates and billing reports
- Quarterly: Doctor billing data and performance summaries
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in billing, finance, or healthcare administration
- Advanced analytical skills with Excel (PivotTables, formulas, lookups)
- Experience with Microsoft Access highly regarded
- Confidence working across different data platforms (including our in-house systems)
- Strong ability to interpret, analyse, and tell the story behind data
- Proven experience influencing change and business decisions through data insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple teams
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor, guide, or upskill others
- Comfortable working autonomously, proactively identifying gaps and resolving issues
