Peer Mentors - Make a Real Difference in Someone’s Day Are you passionate about helping others live more independent, fulfilling lives? Join Access Your Supports as a Peer Mentor and play a meaningful role supporting children and young adults with disabilities to achieve their NDIS goals. As a Peer Mentor, you'll act as a positive role model, encouraging participants to build confidence, independence, and life skills. Whether it’s supporting someone to attend an appointment, participate in a community activity, or grow their independence at home, your support will truly matter. What You’ll Do
- Support participants in their homes and communities to achieve their NDIS goals
- Encourage independence and community engagement
- Drive or accompany participants to appointments and social activities
- Be a trusted support, responding to needs, incidents, or wellbeing concerns
- Communicate effectively with our team and attend Peer Mentor meetings
- Collaborate with a dedicated, values-driven team
EssentialWhat We’re Looking For:
- Your own car, mobile phone, and a full Victorian driver’s licence
- Full comprehensive car insurance
- A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
- Cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
Nice To Have
- Experience or understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability for 10–20 hours per week
