The Opportunity

Our client is a growing infrastructure organisation preparing for an exciting period of expansion and is seeking a Payroll Officer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior payroll / administration professional looking to build their payroll career within a supportive team environment. The business is seeking someone with the right attitude, strong attention to detail and willingness to learn who can hit the ground running and provide support during a busy growth phase.

The Role

Working closely with the payroll and finance team, you will provide day-to-day support across payroll administration and employee changes.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with payroll processing and payroll administration
• Supporting employee set-up and maintenance of payroll records
• Responding to payroll-related queries from employees
• Assisting with timesheet and payroll data entry
• Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Maintaining accurate payroll documentation and records
• Providing general administrative support across the payroll function

About You

You are eager to learn, highly organised and bring a proactive approach to supporting busy teams.

You will bring:

• Previous experience in payroll, accounts, HR admin or administration
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication and stakeholder service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
• Immediate availability or ability to start at short notice highly regarded
