Role Description
Reporting to the Head of Design in the UK, the Designer will be an integral part of the global marketing team. The role is full-time, 40hrs a week. Working closely with the local fair team, they will be responsible for:
- Design and artworking of print and online advertising, animated digital assets, social graphics, and on-site materials (including press ads / outdoor, email / web banners, social graphics, invitations and event signage) for Affordable Art Fairs in the APAC region
- Idea generation for venue dressing, digital assets, outdoor ads and new marketing projects in APAC
- Editing short videos and ads
- Ensuring that all design materials fit specific brand guidelines
- Ensuring all design materials are produced on time and within budget
- Creating fair design reviews and contributing to brand reviews
- Supporting global design team tasks as required, including general brand and marketing projects
Technical skills / Experience
- Passion for design, with a keen eye for detail and layout
- Mac skills in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffects
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in typesetting Chinese characters
- Understanding of and ability to tailor designs to brand guidelines
- Experience of professional print processes and preparing files for print
- An appreciation of designing for web / mobile
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages
- Confidence and initiative to work independently
- Proof-reading skills
- Flexible approach to office hours to accommodate international time zones (2 days a week)
