The Business Lead is a senior, client-facing leadership role within Akcelo’s Account Management team. You’ll shape and grow a portfolio of high-value client relationships, lead commercial performance, and build trusted partnerships at C-Suite level. Working closely with a Client Partner, you’ll lead the charge on creating award winning work, set the strategic direction for the portfolio and guide team performance.

A natural relationship builder and commercial thinker, you’ll be a key voice in aligning our work to client objectives, elevating delivery, and creating opportunities for Akcelo to expand its impact across brand, digital, experience and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion world class award winning work for some of Australia’s biggest brands
  • Build, deepen and broaden senior client partnerships, creating strategic growth plans that drive revenue and expand the agency’s service offering
  • Prepare and present accurate forecasts, ensuring growth plans are implemented and consistently achieved
  • Lead C-Level engagement, shaping high-trust, long-term relationships
  • Motivate and guide the Akcelo team, championing the client’s objectives while ensuring work aligns with the agency’s ambition and quality standards
  • Oversee allocation and leadership of cross-discipline resources, ensuring high-quality delivery across every project
  • Develop senior relationships through thought leadership, strategic counsel and meaningful connection
  • Oversee all work across your portfolio, using risk mitigation and forward planning to keep projects on track for timing, quality and commercial performance
  • Identify and activate opportunities for Akcelo to bring additional capability to clients, shaping new briefs and helping clients realise future needs

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years in a senior Account Management role within a creative or advertising agency
  • Demonstrated success leading client relationships and managing multiple complex projects
  • Experience across integrated campaigns, with curiosity to expand across brand, film, digital, social, activations, retail, CX, Martech and lifecycle strategy
  • Highly organised, detail-driven and committed to delivering excellence
  • Energised by fast-paced, collaborative environments with tight turnarounds
  • A confident communicator who builds trust across clients, teams and senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working across time zones and keeping momentum across regions
  • Willing and able to travel for key moments and relationship building
  • Passionate about great work and the people who bring it to life
