Senior Test Analyst

The Role Akkodis is seeking an experienced Test Analyst / Senior Test Analyst to support delivery across a large, complex enterprise environment with strong governance expectations. You'll work closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders to plan, execute, and report on testing outcomes, helping ensure stable, high-quality releases in a high-assurance setting. Please note that this role requires onsite working in offices based in the CBD of Perth, and the role cannot be performed remotely. The duration of the contract is 3 months plus potential extensions. Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and contribute to the test approach and planning.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned to requirements and specifications.
• Execute system, integration, regression, and release testing, and support UAT activities where required.
• Manage the defect lifecycle: logging, triage support, retest/verification, and evidence capture.
• Provide clear status reporting and communicate risks, impacts, and progress to stakeholders.
• Work across Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery streams, adapting to delivery cadence and release patterns.
• Contribute to automation and pipeline-aligned testing practices (API and UI testing where applicable).
• Maintain strong documentation quality, traceability, and governance, including peer reviews and audit-ready artefacts.
• Apply awareness of security and accessibility expectations common to high-assurance environments.

What you'll bring (essential)

• Demonstrated experience as a Test Analyst / Senior Test Analyst across complex applications and integrated systems.
• Strong capability in test analysis, design, execution, and defect management.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs, plus confidence working with data (SQL/relational databases).
• Comfortable working across Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.
• Strong stakeholder engagement-able to work with developers, BAs, SMEs, and delivery leadership.
• High attention to detail with clear written communication and disciplined test evidence.

Tools / tech exposure (highly regarded)

• Test delivery tooling and defect/work tracking workflows.
• UI automation and API testing exposure (legacy and modern equivalents).
• Exposure to modern automation approaches (e.g., Playwright/TypeScript) or willingness to learn.
• Experience supporting CI/CD-aligned testing models.

Qualifications (preferred)

• ISTQB (or equivalent testing certification / strong practical experience).
