As we continue to build our teams into an anticipated continued growth period, we are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our power systems analysis team in our Brisbane Office.

Who are we seeking:Principal Power System Engineers with demonstrated experienced in:

• Transmission network planning and operations
• Power transmission and distribution
• National Electricity Market (NEM) and WA Wholesale Energy Market, including generator connection processes, performance standards and R1 R2 testing procedures and commissioning 
• Proficiency in PSS®E and /or PSCAD and/or DIgSILENT, PowerFactory
• Technical, commercial and financial considerations of engineering consultancy
• The power development lifecycle with success in large scale renewable connections, registration and commissioning according to the Australian National Electricity Rules.
• Conventional and renewable energy generation and battery storage systems, including experience with both physical and modelling of power plants
• An approachable work style to support a positive and balanced mentoring relationship with less experienced Engineers 

Essential requirements:

• Strong understanding of Power System Studies and Power Systems
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Experience with project management and delivery of successful outcomes within a consulting environment
• Hold or have the ability to attain local Professional Registrations/ Certification
