About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Workforce Planning Lead and working within the SSN-AUKUS Build Workforce Integrated Product Team, you will be responsible for leading the development, maintenance and delivery of the Workforce Development Plan (WDP), a key contractual workforce planning deliverable for the SSN-AUKUS Build Program.
You will coordinate contributions from a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, integrate workforce intelligence and planning insights, and ensure workforce strategies are aligned with program objectives and contractual requirements.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence workforce capability development at both program and organisational levels while supporting one of Australia's most strategically important defence initiatives.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, governance, continuous improvement and submission of the Workforce Development Plan (WDP), a key contractual deliverable for the SSN-AUKUS Build Program.
- Coordinate schedules, stakeholder inputs, review cycles, governance forums and approval pathways to deliver high-quality workforce outcomes.
- Provide workforce intelligence through the analysis and interpretation of workforce data, labour market insights, forecasting and scenario planning to inform workforce strategy, workforce development priorities and workforce risk management.
- Support workforce development decision-making by assessing workforce risks, evaluating intervention options and contributing to the prioritisation of initiatives that strengthen workforce capability and supply.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the Build Program, People & Culture, Commonwealth representatives and external partners.
- Prepare high-quality workforce reports, presentations, briefings and planning documentation to support decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain compliance with governance, quality assurance, intellectual property and document control requirements.
- Support workforce planning, workforce development and related program deliverables across the SSN-AUKUS Build Program, as required
About You
You are a strategic thinker with strong project coordination capabilities and a proven ability to bring together complex information from multiple stakeholders into clear, actionable workforce planning outcomes.
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Workforce Planning, Organisational Development, Business, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in workforce planning, workforce development, capability planning, people strategy or complex business planning within a large organisation.
- Strong understanding of workforce planning methodologies, workforce analytics and workforce development frameworks.
- Experience supporting major programs, government, defence, infrastructure or highly regulated environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Advanced written communication skills with experience producing strategic plans, reports and complex documentation.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret workforce intelligence and translate insights into practical workforce strategies.
- Experience managing document governance, compliance, quality assurance and multi-author documentation processes.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
