Business Development Manager (Tech + Retail Channel Expansion) Melbourne preferred (hybrid: 1 day per fortnight). Sydney considered for exceptional candidates. We bring them into Australia and New Zealand, craft their go to market strategy and place them in the right retail channels. We are not just suppliers. We are curators of innovation. Our team comes from places like Tesla, Apple and Google because we care deeply about the products we represent and the impact they make. Why this role exists We are growing fast. With more brands entering our portfolio and demand increasing, we need a Business Development Manager who can take the brands we already represent and open new retail channels across ANZ. This is not new brand acquisition. It is about unlocking growth pathways for existing partners and acting as a trusted extension of their team. What You Will Be Doing

  • Identify and open new retail and e commerce channels across ANZ
  • Shape go to market plans that match each brand’s positioning and potential
  • Build and maintain strong commercial partnerships with retailers and strategic accounts
  • Map opportunities, pitch value, negotiate terms and execute expansion plans
  • Work closely with the founders, the Partnerships Manager and the e commerce team to launch products and monitor performance
  • Represent Clever Gear at meetings, events and trade shows
  • Move fast, communicate clearly and adapt as priorities shift

  • 3 plus years in business development, sales, channel partnerships or retail commercial roles
  • Experience in consumer electronics, retail, marketplaces or e commerce
  • A genuine passion for tech and innovation
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity, testing ideas and moving fast
  • Ability to travel as needed across Australia and New Zealand
