About The Role The Senior Portfolio Analyst is a key role within the PMO and is responsible for monitoring projects and Workstreams to ensure they are within the tolerances & exceptions as set out and flag deviations against scope, time, quality, cost and benefits as well as monitoring risks, schedules, actions, resources, issues and dependencies. Promote delivery services best practices and methodologies across Program. Role Responsibilities
- Analyse data and project information to identify better ways to deliver Initiatives - this information is provided to senior leaders to guide the successful delivery of Workstreams.
- Work to support the development of status reports to be delivered to in accordance with the reporting cadence.
- Report on any issues with the project/Workstream timelines and provide suggestions for solutions.
- Work with project/Workstream Managers on how to produce and update project documentation in line with project methodologies.
- Support Financial management and submission into AEMO's tooling, monitoring financial progress and provide variance commentary.
- Assist project managers with the monthly financial management including accruals, forecasts and budgets as required.
- Continuous Improvement – Actively seek efficiencies and improvements in processes through innovations in reporting insights.
Experience And Knowledge
- Proven experience in a similar role such as program coordinator, PMO analyst or lead
- Proficiency and experience at an advanced level of Microsoft suite (e.g. Project, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.
- Experience with PMO governance processes including status reporting, budget and financial tracking.
- Ability to work within a team environment and liaise with different levels within an organisation; and Excellent attention to detail and concern for quality.
Education / Certificates
- Project Management qualifications or certifications (e.g. Prince2, PMI) preferential.
