Audit and Compliance Officer

We are seeking Audit and Compliance Officers to join our Compliance and Engagement Group, you will work with taxpayers and their representatives to help them meet their tax and superannuation obligations by providing exceptional service in a multi-channelled environment to achieve outcomes.

As an (APS 4) Audit and Compliance Officer, you will be a reliable professional who can apply established processes and procedures, work accurately under general direction, exercise care and judgement, and collaborate effectively to support team outcomes.

Our taxpayers and their intermediaries are diverse and may include individuals, small business, public and private companies and internationals.

You will uphold APS Values and contribute positively to a supportive team culture while delivering quality work within defined frameworks.

Depending on the area you will work in, an average day might see you:

• providing tailored advice and guidance to taxpayers and their representatives on a range of tax and superannuation matters in writing, by phone and face-to-face
• identifying risks and capturing intelligence to help formulate treatment strategies
• investigating, analysing and researching information, policies, procedures, frameworks or tax laws to identify solutions
• working on developing your capability to support your own performance and contribute to the growth of the team.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Geelong, Gosford, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Penrith, Perth, Sydney CBD, Townsville, Upper Mount Gravatt or Wollongong.
