Who is Bare?
Bare is a company dedicated to providing accessible, affordable end-of-life care. Our mission is to change the way people deal with death.
We combine empathy with technology to create end-of-life experiences that are simple, personalised, and affordable.
Launched in late 2019, we've grown exponentially, having served more than 30,000 families, becoming Australia’s most awarded end-of-life provider (with awards in customer service, innovation, and digital disruption), and having built a team of more than 100 people committed to changing the way Australians deal with death. And we’re just getting started.
As part of this mission, we are growing our legal business - Bare Law - which has quickly become one of Australia's largest Estate Administration law firms. We're looking for an exceptional Lawyer to join the team!
The Opportunity
Our practice is client-centric, fuss-free, and timely. We provide exceptional advice in an easy-to-understand legal fashion to families working through the Probate and Letters of Administration process. Our commitment to reliability and timeliness ensures a smooth experience for our clients.
Bare Law offers genuine flexible working arrangements and mentoring opportunities alongside our Senior Lawyers and Management.
If you have exceptional time management and previous understanding/experience in Estate Administration, we want to hear from you!
The Lawyer responsibilities will include:
- Conducting meetings with clients
- Drafting various legal documents such as affidavits, statutory declarations, and general correspondence.
- Drafting cost agreements and preparing and issuing invoices to clients.
- Receiving and preparing client documents in readiness for Court filing.
- Guiding clients through the probate process - end to end.
- Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, asset holders, Lawyers, Barristers, and Principals.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Currently hold (or be immediately eligible to get) your Practicing Certificate
- Previous relevant paralegal or legal experience
- High level of attention to detail
- Motivation and commitment to learn
- A true desire and willingness to go the extra mile for our clients
- Completed law degree
Most importantly, we want someone who believes in our mission. Everyone at Bare is driven by the impact of what we’re doing, and we want to make sure that continues with every new hire that joins our team.
What’s in it for me?Our employee NPS is extremely high, and for good reason. We trust our team to do amazing work, and provide all the tools, support, and encouragement to work autonomously. We are totally driven by the customer experience, and do everything we can to ensure like-minded people join the team and love what they do. In addition, we offer:
- Great opportunities for personal growth, promotion, and career development
- The ability to work-from-home - with lots of autonomy and flexibility
- A friendly, fun, and supportive environment - people love what they do at Bare
- Competitive remuneration package (with perks!)
- The chance to make an impact at one of the most critical moments in someone’s life
The main reason you will join, however, is because you believe in what we do and are excited about truly transforming an industry.
