About The Facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. About The Role The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) will support clinical learning in nursing units in a practical and applied way to ensure nursing care and nursing practice are maintained at the highest level. The position is clinically based, and CSN will be included as a member of the Centre for Education and Training team and will anticipate and respond to the clinical practice needs of newly registered nurses, enrolled nurses and midwives working within the clinical area. The role also supports all clinicians working within the clinical area, including conducting competency-based skills, bedside coaching, and mentorship for safe patient outcomes. The role works in direct collaboration with the Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Educators, NUMs and the Education and Training Leadership team. About The Centre For Education And Training The Centre for Education and Training leads an integrated approach to clinical education and training, helping Barwon Health to achieve its education goals by delivering, supporting and promoting coordinated, quality education and training across health care roles in Barwon Health and the Barwon South Western region.
