As our new Leader of Learning – PDHPE, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding the faculty to inspire active, healthy lifestyles and a lifelong passion for wellbeing. This position comes with:A 2-point allowance of $749.94 per fortnight, and0.2 FTE release time to support you in leading effectively and strategically. POSITION DESCRIPTIONLeaders of Learning work in collaboration with the school leadership team and colleagues to promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning principles. Within their faculty they will: ensure the highest standards of teaching practicelead and support the ongoing development, implementation and oversight of quality teaching programs and learning outcomeshave deep understanding and expertise in KLA curriculum requirementsestablish a culture of collaborative and reflective practicesupport individuals in identifying new experiences for their continual professional developmentknow their students and strive to provide engaging learning that supports student wellbeing. EXPERIENCE/CRITERIAAbility to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schoolsDemonstrated success in ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, creating and leading effective professional learning and building the capacity of teachers as leaders in learningDemonstrated management and administrative skills to ensure assessment, and teaching and learning programs operate effectively and efficientlyDemonstrated capacity to effectively utilise data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes, to think and act strategically, and to support the Leadership Team in leading the mission of the schoolHigh level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop and sustain constructive And respectful relationships within and beyond the school communityPrior leadership experience (Desirable)Working towards Highly Accomplished or Lead Teaching Standards (Desirable) QUALIFICATIONSFour-year trained teacher classification with at least four years successful teaching experience consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for TeachersNESA Teacher AccreditationCurrent paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) numberCompletion of anaphylaxis trainingPostgraduate study in education (e.g. Master of leadership, educational leadership, IT, Curriculum) (Desirable) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSalary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
