The Role Our NSW based Mining group is looking for a Project Manager with a strong design and engineering background to manage the delivery of small to medium packages. This role blends project management, design management, and technical coordination, supporting multidisciplinary teams across studies, design, and delivery phases. Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of small to medium project packages within WSP’s Mining portfolioCoordinate and manage multidisciplinary engineering design teams (internal and external)Act as the primary interface between technical leads, clients, and the broader project teamPlan, monitor, and control scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and quality outcomesProvide design management oversight to ensure engineering outputs meet contractual, technical, and client requirementsSupport bid preparation, project setup, and governance processes in line with WSP systemsManage subcontractors and consultants delivering defined scopes of workIdentify opportunities for efficiency, continuous improvement, and value‑added outcomesMaintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across NSW and nationally About You Proven experience in project management within mining, resources, or heavy industry environmentsDegree in Engineering or closely related discipline, additionally a formal Project Management qualifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, AIPM) is desirableBackground in engineering or design management (civil, mechanical, electrical, or similar)Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering design teamsStrong understanding of design delivery phases (concept, study, detailed design)Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, scope, and riskConfident stakeholder and client engagement skillsExperience delivering consulting services within a professional services environment desirable Why WSP?
