Being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational qualification as authorised under Section 14(D) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act, 1977 NSW.Candidates who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander will be required to demonstrate their heritage by way of providing Confirmation of Aboriginality in line with University procedure.Be challenged and imagine with us As Student Recruitment Officer, you will play a key role in implementing programs and initiatives designed to attract and inspire prospective Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, fostering awareness of the opportunities available at our University. In This Role You Will
- Deliver targeted recruitment strategies to high schools and community organisations.
- Plan and coordinate engagement events on our campuses, including Wollotuka.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while championing education and engagement within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus on Awabakal land. How will you inspire us?

What we offer The remuneration for this position is from $93,929 to $103,641 p.a + superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience. Qualifications
- Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification authorised under Section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- A degree and subsequent experience in a relevant field, or extensive experience and specialist expertise in an administrative field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in student recruitment and capacity to contribute to the development of marketing plans to recruit students.
- High level communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate with a broad range of people, including engaging with primary and secondary schools and communicating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Ability to generate a strong sense of team spirit, co-operation and collaboration within and across teams.
