We are seeking an accomplished Program Director to lead a nationally significant, technology-driven program. This portfolio of work centres on the upgrade and replacement of complex, business-critical systems in a regulated environment.
You will bring extensive experience in leading large-scale programs, with accountability for outcomes across multiple projects, teams, and senior stakeholder groups. You will combine pragmatic vendor management, strong systems engineering understanding, and exceptional communication skills to ensure successful delivery in a highly visible environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple major programs, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, and compliance obligations.
- Manage and influence senior stakeholders, providing clear, risk-focused communication on program outcomes.
- Oversee a large delivery team, including direct accountability for Program Managers, while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Provide strategic leadership across vendor and contract management, ensuring performance through strong relationships and a focus on outcomes.
- Operate effectively within a regulated systems engineering environment, ensuring compliance with rigorous documentation, certification, and regulatory requirements.
Required skills and experience
- Proven success in delivering complex, large-scale programs within mission-critical environments.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience leading diverse teams, managing contractors and delivery partners, and driving program outcomes.
- Recognised program/project management certification with a strong track record in benefits realisation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align executive stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, sound judgement, and the ability to manage delivery in highly visible settings.
- Background spanning both public and private sectors will be highly regarded.
- Ability and willingness to obtain relevant government security clearances.
This role will be offered as an initial 2 year contract, daily rates apply.
