We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in C#, .NET, API testing, SQL, Azure, and test automation. The ideal candidate will have a software engineering mindset and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions while ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust testing practices and CI/CD integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using C# and .NET.
- Develop automated tests for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Perform API testing and automation for RESTful services.
- Create and execute SQL queries for data validation and test data management.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews, defect analysis, and root cause investigations.
- Improve automation coverage, framework reliability, and test execution efficiency.
- Support Agile development practices and continuous testing initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in C# and .NET/.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation tools.
- Experience with test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, and API automation tools.
- Good SQL skills for database validation and testing.
- Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
- Understanding of software design principles, OOP, and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SpecFlow/Cucumber (BDD).
- Knowledge of Docker, Microservices, and Cloud-native applications.
- Exposure to performance testing and test reporting tools.
Experience & Attributes
- 4+ years of experience in Automation Testing / Quality Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
