About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead a payroll team and oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities and pay cycles. You will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and timely delivery, while also driving process improvements and supporting a range of payroll-related projects.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise, train and provide guidance to the payroll team.
- Provide end-to-end transactional payroll support across multiple entities and pay cycles, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Ensure compliance with awards, EBAs, legislation and company policies, including superannuation, PAYG and Payroll Tax obligations.
- Oversee end-of-month and end-of-financial-year payroll reporting requirements.
- Oversee third-party payroll-related payments and ensure they are processed accurately and on time.
- Respond to and resolve stakeholder and management queries in a timely, accurate and customer-focused manner.
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain employee master data and payroll systems, ensuring strong data integrity and accurate record-keeping.
- Complete payroll calculations for terminations, back payments, leave accruals and other ad hoc requirements.
- Assist with reconciliations, remediation activities and audits as required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support broader payroll and shared-services objectives.
About You
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, reconciliations and reporting.
- Previous experience in a Senior Payroll, Payroll Lead or Payroll Supervisor/Manager capacity, including supervising and supporting staff.
- Mining, resources or FIFO payroll experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong payroll systems and technology experience.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple pay cycles and competing priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
