The Opportunity We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Catering (Kitchen) Assistant (Back-of-House) within our Perth Operations team. This is a Back-of-House (BOH) catering role working directly with the Chef in supporting our catering operations. Key Responsibilities Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Chef with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Performing general kitchen hand duties, including cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces.
• Cleaning and maintaining all designated kitchen areas, appliances, utensils, and tools, including canopy and range hoods, fridges, grill, and deep fry bays.
• Cleaning, washing, and storing cooking equipment and pots/pans.
• Sorting and organising stock, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Assisting with minor cooking tasks, such as preheating food and preparing simple dishes.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Supporting the catering team in delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• A preference for 1-2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
