We're looking for a Head of Media to take the reins of our media team across Brisbane and Papua New Guinea. This isn't a role where you just keep the lights on. With a strong foundation in the Pacific, we're ready to grow our media presence in Australia, and you'll lead the charge. You'll set the vision, shape the team and help write the next chapter of Colony's media story.
The opportunity
- Setting the direction for media across Australia and the Pacific
- Growing our Australian media client base, from winning new business to deepening existing relationships
- Owning the quality and smarts behind every media strategy and plan we put out
- Leading the media thinking on big pitches and the briefs that matter most
- Doing the deals with media owners and platforms that give our clients an edge
- Driving the commercial side, including revenue, margin and growth
- Building, mentoring and championing a team across Brisbane and Port Moresby
The perfect candidate
- 8+ years of media agency experience, including time in a senior leadership seat
- A people-first leadership style, with a passion for mentoring, developing and supporting your team to do their best work
- A collaborative approach to integrated strategy across traditional and digital, building strong relationships with colleagues across every team and office so we deliver great outcomes together
- Sharp commercial instincts, a knack for negotiation and experience growing clients in the Australian market
- Experience leading teams across more than one location
- Bonus points for experience in the Pacific or other emerging markets
