Role Description
This is an on-site, night shift role (11pm-7am mon, tues, thurs and sun nights) based in Gordon for a Support Worker. The Support Worker will assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and social engagement to promote their independence and well-being. Additional responsibilities include implementing individual care plans, facilitating recreational activities, maintaining a safe environment, and following safeguarding procedures. Collaboration with a team of professionals and effective communication with clients and their families is integral to this role.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Support Worker and a passion for helping individuals achieve their goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with clients and teams
- Understanding of safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain a secure and supportive environment
- Knowledge of technical support, such as assistive technology, to aid individuals with specific needs
- Empathy, patience, and a client-centered approach to care
- Relevant certifications IV in disability support/ageing (required)
- A valid driver's license and First Aid certification (highly regarded)
