OVERALL POSITION OBJECTIVE

Telecom Engineer – Internal/External Design is to deliver exceptional service to the business. This person would thrive on challenges in a high paced environment, has a passion for Design processes. In addition, we’re after someone with good design knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as be a team player.

In this role, you will be:

• The designer to deliver high productivity and quality design by following the design standards.
• Implementing and standardising Design processes including Quality control.
• Provide best solutions and be a point of escalation for the team.
• Responsible for delivery of high-quality design within given time.
• Deliver cost effective design solutions.
• Should meet all KPIs in terms of productivity, Quality and process compliances.
• Work with team and manager to improve Productivity and Quality.
• Produce Designs to support weekly/monthly targets.

Description

• Ensure designs meets quality requirements based on Process document and guidelines
• Design & Deliver the designs both internally/externally by referring all Telstra systems/DBoRs
• Preparation, Verification & Validation of network designs
• Provide technical support to team
• Ensure volume targets are met on daily/weekly/monthly
• Ensure designs meets quality requirements based on Process document and guidelines
• Ensure designs are delivered on-time with high productivity rate
• Ensure to deliver cost effective design solutions
• Ensure designs meets quality requirements based on Process document and guidelines
• Ensure improved performance & quality service delivery on weekly/monthly basis
• Drive best practice in line with company Framework and Best Practices
• Ensure the provision of consistently high-quality services to our customers;
• Work effectively as part of the team, with both internal and external key stakeholders.

Key Behaviours, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering Graduation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Deliver excellent cost-effective designs
• Exposure in the client network arena
• Proficient in MS suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• Capability of working autonomously and in teams collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Strong time management skills
