Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer – 6-month contract – South Perth
An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation operating in a complex, multi-site environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining and evolving the organisation’s core technology infrastructure, supporting both operational sites and corporate systems.
About the Role
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting modern infrastructure across servers, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity. You’ll work closely with the IT Operations Manager and broader technology team to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing systems aligned with strategic IT and cyber frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual server environments (Windows Server, Linux).
- Administer core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Design, deploy, and optimise cloud services across Azure and AWS.
- Manage secure identity and access management, cloud performance, and cost.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot networking infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN, LAN, and WLAN.
- Implement security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support multi-site operational environments and deliver infrastructure projects end-to-end.
About You
You will bring strong experience across enterprise infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments, with a solid understanding of modern cybersecurity principles.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or similar.
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CISSP, or Security+.
- Deep technical background across servers, networking, cloud, and security frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives across multiple locations.
