About D4C Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We are helping our client, Sydney Water, to deliver a $34 billion dollar program over a 10-year contract, providing design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to the Georges River National Park When you join D4C, you'll be joining a team of 900+ employees, all helping to provide services that are vital to Sydney Water's customers' quality of life, and to safeguard Sydney's future by maintaining a sustainable water supply and protecting our iconic waterways. About The Opportunity D4C is seeking an experienced project manager to assist with the delivery of a significant growth project in the Illawarra. This opportunity will allow you to work close to home and expand your leadership and project management skills by leading a team to successfully delivery this project over the coming years. Key Accountabilities
- Manage the overall delivery of the project, on or ahead of time with all client expectations met, and in accordance with NEC4 processes.
- Assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goals
- Manage the execution of engineering, procurement and construction activities and adopt appropriate construction methods
- Provides constructability input to the design
- Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as required
- Financial management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental management
- Demonstrate leadership in risk management, compliance and auditing, and ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building Code
- Stakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained
- People management: Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors, and foster a high performance team within a positive employee relations environment
- Contribute to new business, continuous improvement and broader business activities
- Perform all duties in accordance with Sydney Water policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, qualifications in project management or construction management
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience within the civil infrastructure or water industry
- Minimum 8 years recent project management experience
- Advanced financial and commercial management - cost reduction and meeting budgets
- High level client relationship and stakeholder management experience
- Highly competent with MS office
- Unrestricted Drivers License
- Construction induction (White Card)
