We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher – Humanities and Social Science for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only. Application documents in any other format will not be accepted.The School Founded in 1955, Mount Lawley Senior High School (SHS) is located 5 kilometres from the Perth CBD. It comprises three sub-schools: Years 7 & 8, Years 9 & 10 and Years 11 & 12. It hosts a Gifted and Talented Languages program, a Specialist Visual and Performing Arts program, a Music program and the innovative Aboriginal Excellence Program. Suitable applicants will ideally embrace and commit to the school’s Ethos and Vision. They should ideally be expert in engaging students and provide a learning environment that facilitates students at all levels achieving their full potential. Whilst there are a number of opportunities in Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) the capacity to teach Career and Enterprise or Business Courses would be desirable. Teachers at Mount Lawley SHS are expected to embrace the school’s Pedagogical Framework (attached).
