The Team: We are a large and diverse team, supporting approximately 8000 employees across southern Tasmania. The Role:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to the Payroll Services team
  • Support the delivery of accurate, efficient and consistent payroll processing
  • Oversee compliance with legislative and audit requirements
  • Investigate and resolve complex payroll, leave and personnel issues

You will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the accurate, effective and efficient management of payroll, leave, general personnel and records services, together with the capacity to provide authoritative and consultative advice to managers and employees on complex issues.
  • High level experience in leading and working effectively as part of a team, including the ability to guide, direct, motivate and develop staff to provide timely and quality client focused services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial awards/agreements, policy, procedures and directions in relation to payroll, leave and general personnel services.

Details of appointment: Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
