As Our Senior Finance Officer, You Will

  • Provide high-quality financial management services, performance reporting and advice to cost centre managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivering responsive, customer-focused finance and procurement services.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the annual budget, and analyse revenue, expenditure, and activity trends through key performance indicators to support decision-making and adherence to departmental timeframes.
  • Prepare, review and present high-quality financial reports, business proposals and briefings to inform management and support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial models, budgeting frameworks, systems, and processes to support effective financial governance.
  • Coordinate and quality-assure monthly Fee for Service billing and provide oversight of ICT procurement and contractor engagement activities.
  • Provide high-level input into financial governance reporting and support projectbased work as required to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policy and procedures including the Financial Management Practice Manual, Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Mentor, guide, lead and develop staff in a changing environment.
  • Contribute and role-model a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation and outcomes and knowledge sharing within ITP.
  • Contribute to a team environment with a positive workplace culture where ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity are valued, and team members enjoy coming to work.
