Combat Systems Engineer FPS Officer

Job Description We currently have an opportunity for a Combat Systems Engineer, specialising in Functional Performance Specifications in the Maritime domain**.** Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Develop and document functional performance specifications for maritime systems
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure requirements are defined and baselined
• Assist in the integration of various maritime system components
• Establish traceability between system specifications and overall platform requirements
• Provide technical support and take direction from senior engineering leadership

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited institution
• Significant experience in defence or maritime engineering
• Understanding of systems engineering processes, including EIA-632 standards
• Experience with complex requirements management tools and methodologies
• Familiarity with naval or maritime systems is highly desirable
• Hold and maintain an minimum NV1 as required by the Commonwealth
