Location: Mile End, SA 5031 (Onsite)

Work Type: Permanent

This Production Operator role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who enjoys working in a structured production environment, operating machinery, assembling components and contributing to safe, high-quality manufacturing outcomes. The right person will recognise this role as a natural next step based on their existing manufacturing experience and practical approach to work.

Why This Role

This role offers the opportunity to build on your existing manufacturing experience while developing your skills across machinery operation, production processes, quality inspection and material handling.

You will join a team-focused manufacturing environment where safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement are key priorities. Unlike roles that focus on a single task, this position provides exposure to a range of production activities and opportunities to participate in ongoing training and development.

The Role: Production Operator

In this role, you will spend most of your time operating manufacturing machinery, assembling components and carrying out production activities in line with production orders, work instructions and technical requirements.

You will work closely with the Production Supervisor and wider manufacturing team and will be responsible for delivering production outcomes while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Assisting with production and machine set-ups.
  • Assembling components on the production line.
  • Conducting in-process and final product inspections.
  • Recording inspection results and maintaining product traceability.
  • Identifying and reporting non-conforming products or materials.
  • Using material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspecting tooling and jigs and reporting any issues.
  • Assisting with stocktaking as required.
  • Working towards production targets.
  • Maintaining 6S and housekeeping standards.
  • Following Quality, Environmental and Safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Participating in internal and external training programs.
  • Undertaking other duties as required and within your training.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience operating machinery, or the ability and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to assemble components on a production line.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Good attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A reliable, practical and positive approach to work.

Benefits & Environment

This role offers permanent full-time employment, on-the-job training and opportunities to develop your manufacturing skills across machinery operation, production, quality and material handling.

You will work in an environment that values safety, quality, teamwork, continuous improvement and high standards of performance.
