On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join a well-established and successful firm based in Hobart, Tasmania. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in private practice, with strong technical expertise in taxation. Experience in auditing and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) highly considered.

Key Responsibilities:Taxation:

  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Provide high-quality tax planning and compliance advice to clients.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.

Client Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and insights to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Identify new opportunities for client services and business development.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a private practice accounting firm.
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline.
  • Member of CA ANZ or CPA Australia (or working towards full membership).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax legislation, and superannuation laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, My Workpapers).
