Structural Engineer

Entuitive [En-tu-itive] is a structural & civil consultancy that delivers high quality engineering for the projects and clients we serve. The practice enjoys the creative process of place making and the grit of construction, advocating for strategic densification through urban renewal as the primary tool to efficiently and sustainably accommodate growing populations.

We advise on all construction scales, major projects to single storey construction, with distinction in - Residential, Commercial, Mixed Use, Childcare, Retirement & Community. 

The more complex the project, the more visible our contribution becomes.

What you’ll do:

• Liaise with clients and industry colleagues in a professional, personable manner - actively facilitating their needs and exceeding expectations (Note: this role is largely non client facing).
• Develop high quality structural designs and documentation across residential, commercial, mixed use, and community developments.
• Prepare structural analysis models and perform capacity calculations for timber, steel, and concrete including PT.
• Support colleagues during peak demand periods and through active knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Organise and manage multiple concurrent design tasks.

What we’re looking for:

• 2–4 years of local structural experience in building design of residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.
• Strong appreciation of well designed and documented buildings as a core representation of our brand.
• Good character, inclusive, good humoured, and social.
• Understanding of structural systems - steel, timber, and concrete and a willingness to learn where gaps in knowledge exist.
• Exposure to ECI, D&C, and Construct only delivery methods coupled with an appreciation of broader industry dynamics will be highly regarded.
• High standards, attention to detail, and job satisfaction gained through work done well.
• Critical thinker with the ability to connect the dots.
• Proficiency in ETABS, RAPT, RAMConcept, SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit. Extra points for Revit, Rhino, and Wallap experience.
