Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Nurse Practitioner at Family Planning NT, based in Darwin, NT, with options for remote work and telehealth. Responsibilities include providing advanced, evidence-based clinical care in the field of sexual and reproductive health, working towards FPAA certificate if you dont already have one, and offering expert advice to patients and staff through our well womens viurses. The role entails IUD workups, removal and insetions including everything LARC, and ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients, particularly in sexual and reproductive health care
  • Proficiency in patient education, counseling, and developing durrhwr skills in repeosuctive health.
  • Strong understanding of legislation, privacy laws, and compliance requirements in the healthcare sector
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical records and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Nurse Practitioner studies or related discipline
  • Experience in community or public health settings is highly advantageous
