For more about what we do, please head to www.gemlife.com.au The Opportunity As a Design Manager, you will be working closely with the development and architectural teams to coordinate the design delivery of luxury commercial projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring that design integrity is upheld while balancing cost, time, and scope considerations. This Role Involves

• Managing the design process across multiple commercial construction projects.
• Ensuring the design intent aligns with GemLife’s high standards and project objectives.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants to drive efficiency and resolve design challenges.
• Reviewing and overseeing documentation, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Working closely with stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to maintain seamless project execution.
• Overseeing functional briefs and consultant scopes, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Proactively managing risks, identifying challenges, and implementing solutions.
• Mentoring junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

About You We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about design excellence in commercial construction. To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Demonstrated experience in design management, construction management, or senior estimating.
• A strong grasp of the full project lifecycle, from concept design to project delivery
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, ensuring collaboration and communication at all levels.
• Technical expertise in building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong proficiency in Revit
