Role Purpose
The Head of Engagement & Growth is responsible for the national distribution, adoption and growth of Generous You’s services, ensuring we achieve our engagement and impact KPIs across professional advisers (accountants, lawyers and financial advisers).
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. It will translate organisational priorities into clear, targeted engagement plans and then personally drive their delivery.
The role will play a critical leadership function in shaping how Generous You reaches the market, influencing product positioning, partnerships and distribution channels, while also leading from the front in building relationships and securing opportunities.
Key Outcomes
- Delivery of engagement targets (e.g. number of advisers reached, trained or engaged)
- Strong pipeline of workshops, partnerships and opportunities
- Establishment of sustainable distribution channels (associations, firms, platforms)
- Clear market presence and positioning within priority segments
- Measurable contribution to growth in structured giving conversations and adoption
- A repeatable and scalable engagement and distribution model
Core Responsibilities1. Strategy & Planning
- Develop and own the engagement and growth strategy, aligned to Generous You’s mission and 12-month focus areas
- Translate strategy into clear, targeted execution plans (by segment, geography and channel)
- Identify and prioritise high-value partnerships and distribution opportunities
- Continuously refine approach based on market feedback, data and traction
2. Execution & Delivery (Player-Coach)
- Lead from the front by personally driving outreach, partnerships and engagement activity
- Secure and deliver workshops, presentations and key meetings
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Actively convert opportunities into confirmed engagements and outcomes
- Maintain a high level of individual output, particularly in early-stage growth
3. Relationship & Partnership Development
- Build strategic relationships with:
- Professional membership bodies
- Advisory firms and networks
- Platforms and ecosystem partners (wealth platforms, foundations)
- Position Generous You as a trusted, independent leader in structured giving education
- Identify and unlock long term partnership opportunities
4. Performance & Accountability
- Own and report on engagement and growth KPIs
- Track and manage:
- Pipeline
- Conversion rates
- Engagement outcomes
- Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement

Your experience
- Background in business development, sales, partnerships or distribution
- Experience engaging professional services audiences (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable growth outcomes

This is not a traditional “Head of Sales” role. It is a builder role, suited to someone who can think strategically, act decisively and execute relentlessly. You will play a defining role in shaping how Generous You reaches and influences the adviser market, with a direct impact on growing strategic philanthropy in Australia.
