Hatchit Studios is seeking a skilled Associate Service Desk Analyst (Desktop Engineer) to support a federal government client in enhancing and maintaining its enterprise desktop environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering secure and efficient endpoint solutions within a large-scale government setting.
About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Level 3 technical support across the organisation’s desktop fleet, managing software deployments, enforcing security policies, and contributing to ongoing ICT improvement initiatives such as Windows 11 migration and endpoint management optimisation.
You’ll work within a collaborative ICT team focused on continuous improvement, service quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy Windows devices using Microsoft Intune and Standard Operating Environment (SOE) configurations.
- Manage application packaging, deployment, and patching using Intune and SCCM.
- Create, maintain, and enforce device configuration and compliance policies.
- Provide Level 3 troubleshooting support for desktop, network, and authentication issues.
- Implement ACSC Essential Eight controls across endpoints.
- Support BitLocker encryption, AppLocker/WDAC, and endpoint protection configurations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-base articles.
- Contribute to strategic ICT initiatives including Windows 11 rollout and cross-platform device management.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in M365 Apps, application packaging, PowerShell scripting, and Level 3 troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Windows endpoint management.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce and maintain security and compliance policies.
- Experience supporting hybrid environments with a focus on user experience and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
