Our client is a reputable and esteemed transport organisation with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to their clients. They are seeking an experienced and driven Accounts Assistant to join the growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is looking to advance their career in the field of accounting support. As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, handling transactions, and supporting the finance team. Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Client Subscription Billing Preparation for end of month
  • Client Invoicing of Subscriptions for Large and Small Clients
  • Client Invoicing of Installation Work (backup for 3P & Internal)
  • Cash Flow Entries and Bank Reconciliations
  • Creation and maintenance of Direct Debits
  • Managing Accounts Inbox, answering Client enquiries
  • General adhoc administrative duties

What you'll need to succeed

You must be able to demonstrate impeccable communication and organisational skills and be a personable team-player. A steady background working in a similar role specialising in Accounts Payable will be desirable, along with advanced Excel skills and excellent knowledge of MYOB accounts system. Please note the company is transferring over to Netsuite in the next couple of months. If you have experience with this software it would be advantageous.

Also, desirable:

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook and preferably intermediate to advanced
  • Experience within the Logistics/Transport industry is highly advantageous
  • Strong customer focus and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent ability to engage and communicate (verbal, written and presentation) within all levels of an organisation
  • Ability to effectively present and relay billing information to all levels of an organisation
  • Demonstrate solid character, integrity and share the Company's business ethics
  • Flexibility and co-operation with your work schedule, is necessary to meet deadlines
