Hobart Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative team. This role provides technical support in operating theatres, ensuring equipment, instrumentation & environments are prepared and maintained to a high standard for safe patient care. Whilst operating out of our five theatres, endoscopy suite and Cath Lab, we are committed to providing ongoing learning and development opportunities for our Perioperative team. Your Responsibilities Will Include In your new role, you will focus on supporting surgical teams, maintaining safety, and ensuring efficient theatre operations.

  • Setting up theatres prior to procedures, preparing equipment
  • Oversee infection control & sterilization of surgical instruments
  • Assist surgeons, nurses and anaesthetists during procedures
  • Restock supplies & prepare theatre for the next case
  • Maintain theatre equipment and report faults

About You

  • Certificate III (or equivalent experience) in Theatre Technology / Health Services
  • Working with Vulnerable People check
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
