About The Role Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for experienced Registered Midwives to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a part time basis. Night shift duties - 21:00 - 07:30 - 10 to 40 hours per fortnight. Must be open to picking up additional shifts where required (AM, PM). With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology. • Provide high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups
• Plan, assess, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcome s
• Supervise, direct, guide junior nurses and undergraduate midwives in provision of midwifery care
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs

Essential Criteria

• Birth suite competent
• 2 yrs post grad experience
• Experience working as a midwife
• Excellent communication and clinical skills
• AHPRA registration
