Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to the Recovery at Work Team. This role plays a vital part in supporting injured workers, coordinators and stakeholders by ensuring workers’ compensation claims, documentation and recovery processes are managed accurately, efficiently and within legislative timeframes. About The Role As an Administrative Officer, you will provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support, including:
- Acting as a first point of contact for phone and email enquiries
- Gathering injury information and lodging new Workers’ Compensation claims
- Assisting with the calculation and processing of Workers’ Compensation weekly benefits
- Managing shared inboxes, data entry, records management and reporting
- Preparing correspondence, reports and meeting minutes
- Maintaining accurate electronic and hard-copy records in line with legislative and policy requirements
- Supporting the Recovery at Work team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
About You You are a detail-oriented and adaptable administrator who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. You will bring:
- Relevant administrative experience and/or qualifications
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn, NSW Workers’ Compensation processes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive information
- Well-developed communication and customer service skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, databases and electronic record management systems
- The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and high-pressure environment
