Our FMCG client is looking for an experienced Environment & Release Manager to join their complex business on a permanent basis to setup their E&R function from scratch!

This company has a complex landscape with 80+ systems and a major transformation underway. You will be tasked with setting up the entire E&R function in collaboration with the various HO IT Systems across the business.

We are looking for an operator who is experienced in complex, distributed environments and knows what good looks like in E&R at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Environment Management:

  • Own and maintain the integrity of all non-production and production environments across ERP, CRM, digital, and supply chain platforms.

  • Oversee environment provisioning, refresh, and configuration management in collaboration with infrastructure and DevOps teams.

  • Maintain an environment booking schedule to support concurrent projects, testing cycles, and business initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot environment conflicts, version mismatches, and deployment dependencies.

Release Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage release schedules, ensuring alignment across multiple projects and business units.

  • Establish and enforce release governance, version control, and rollback strategies.

  • Drive automation of deployment pipelines and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

  • Facilitate release readiness reviews, deployment approvals, and post-release reviews.

  • Manage release risks, issues, and quality assurance across environments.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure controlled and predictable software releases.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for environment and release planning across IT and business functions.

  • Provide regular reporting and dashboards on environment stability, release performance, and deployment success metrics.
