TAS/VET Teacher

A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach TAS - Food Technology, VET - Cookery and Hospitality (Food & Beverage). The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. Essential Selection Criteria

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS/VET.
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Qualified to teach stage 5 & 6 Food Technology.
• Qualified to deliver VET Curriculum Frameworks; Cookery and Hospitality (Food & Beverage)

General Capabilities

• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
• Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
• The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
