Work with a leading specialist insurer in the commercial bonds sector, supporting a growing underwriting team in a fast-paced, professional environment.

We’re seeking an experienced Operations Administrator to play a critical role in managing bond transactions, supporting underwriters, and ensuring operational excellence across the full bond lifecycle.

About the Role

As a key member of the Commercial Bonds team, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across client and broker interactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for brokers and clients, responding to urgent and complex requests with clarity and professionalism
  • Reviewing incoming bond requests for completeness, validity, and risk considerations before underwriting
  • Managing records, documentation, and filing within internal systems
  • Owning the bond lifecycle from issuance through to release, including invoicing and variations
  • Identifying and improving workflow inefficiencies as the portfolio continues to scale
  • Maintaining portfolio data integrity and assisting with management reporting
  • Providing general underwriting and administrative support to ensure operational standards and compliance are met

About You

You’re detail-oriented, commercially minded, and comfortable managing high-volume workflows that require judgement and problem-solving.

You’ll bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in banking, insurance, or finance administration
  • Experience with legal documents, bank guarantees, or commercial contracts (highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work autonomously
  • Analytical thinking and confidence handling unfamiliar or complex requests
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Full Australian working rights
