We’ll Empower You To #Beyou #Bechallenged #Becontinuouslygrowing #Bepartofsomethingbigger So Come, #BeRemarkable at IndaraJob Description Reporting into the General Counsel - Commercial & Services, this is an opportunity to work closely with the business and advise on a wide range of challenging corporate/commercial matters including:

  • General commercial transactions, issues and disputes
  • Tower access terms and related arrangements
  • Upstream (customer facing) and downstream (supplier facing) services agreements
  • Corporate finance and transactions concerning the group's asset/property portfolio
  • Property, asset and corporate acquisitions (including new business lines)
  • Long term site leasing and licensing
  • New business opportunities and innovation
  • Governmental, compliance, risk and regulatory matters affecting the group.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivery of timely practical, commercial advice on a wide range of legal and commercial issues affecting the company and its portfolio
  • Managing external/interstate counsel and liaising/negotiating with counterparty solicitors
  • Developing and implementing processes for the company's contracting and risk management systems and contribution to knowledge management systems
  • Managing enquiries and issues as they arise on a day-to-day business operations and the company's existing commercial, customer and property arrangements
  • Managing disputes/litigation to successful resolution where possible
  • Legal support to senior management, including on legislative developments affecting the group
  • Implementing general compliance measures (including Sarbanes-Oxley and Corporations Act) as they affect Legal
  • Championing lessons learned and continuous improvement, including better use of technology

  • Experience
  • Practicing certificate and appropriate tertiary qualifications from recognised university
  • Law firm experience, together with experience working in-house in a reputable company
  • Strong transactional experience in commercial, drafting, negotiating and contracting
  • Experience in negotiating service contracts (upstream and downstream), commercial property and/or corporate law
  • Experience in commercial property and/or corporate law
  • Experience in drafting MSA's is desirable
  • Experience in M&A, setting up and overseeing agreements in desirable
  • Experience in managing disputes including debt recovery is desirable
  • Exposure to telecommunications and technology sectors and planning law is desirable
