Field Service Engineer (Mechanical)

Our Service Department is seeking a highly self-motivated person for the role of Service Engineer to support our new and existing NSW underground mine-based clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine diagnostics and repairs on Inorail equipment
• Testing and adjusting of Inorail equipment in operation
• Auditing & reporting of Inorail underground equipment
• Performing commissioning Inorail equipment on clients sites
• Training of customer’s personnel

Key Requirements:

• A Mechanical trade qualification (Cert 3 Mechanical Engineering)
• Hydraulics 1 & 2, preferred
• Underground mining exposure, preferred
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug & Alcohol screen
• Flexibility to travel to various sites as required
• Current Australian drivers' licence and the ability to work in Australia
• High technical /mechanical aptitude and a proven high level of customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems
• Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience and field service exposure will also be highly regarded

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support our existing customers & develop these relationships to optimise equipment availability and reliability. You will be responsible for machine diagnostics and repairs, testing and adjusting of machine operation, and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing equipment. Responsibilities also include training & assisting clients, preventative maintenance inspection reporting, and commissioning of new equipment.
