The opportunity to join our team
This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer with strong Windows and Microsoft 365 expertise who is equally passionate about developing people, driving operational excellence and building high-performing teams.
Leading a team of up to 10 engineers and contractors, you'll combine technical leadership with people leadership, coaching and mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on across our Windows and O365 environments. You'll play a key role in shaping team capability, improving service performance and driving the ongoing evolution of critical infrastructure platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people but still wants to stay connected to the technical challenges, decisions and delivery that come with a modern enterprise environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Infrastructure Engineers to foster a high-performing and engaged culture
- Overseeing ServiceNow queues, ticket management, escalations and SLA performance across the team
- Driving operational excellence across Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments
- Managing vulnerability remediation, alert monitoring and platform health activities
- Supporting Active Directory, Exchange, Entra ID and core infrastructure services
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and operational uplift activities
- Contributing to infrastructure projects, planning activities and technical solution design
- Managing the team's on-call capability and ensuring effective support coverage
- Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience leading, mentoring or developing technical teams
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Entra ID and broader infrastructure technologies
- Experience within service delivery environments, including incident, ticket and SLA management
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative leadership style and genuine passion for helping others succeed
- The ability to balance technical delivery, operational oversight and people leadership responsibilities
