Junior Infrastructure Engineers

Working mode: Hybrid (3office+2WFH)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week

Eligibility: NV1

Rate : $550 to $650

Key duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing reliability issues impacting ICT applications and services.
• Enhancing and refining ICT monitoring including security events.
• Developing and maintaining automated alert escalations.
• Developing and maintaining automated incident remediations.
• Working directly with technical support areas to resolve reliability issues. 
• Monitoring services and responding to alerts.
• Maintaining situational awareness of cyber trends.

Essential criteria

1. Experience with configuring and using monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
2. Experience in scripting language such as: SPL, SQL, Python, and DQL
3. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
4. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards preferably in federal government
5. Experience with Monitoring Network deployments such as Fortinet
6. 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large-scale environment

Desirable criteria

1. Effective Communication skills; both written and oral
2. Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI, Github Actions
3. Ability to identify problems, performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement
4. Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team and other technical support areas
